Replacing your Survival Kit with God’s Revival Kit.

Christians face difficult circumstances all the time. Many times we can become weary and beat down from life. During difficult times and  times of being weary it is easy to become a  survivalist. This survivalist mentality causes us to begin to  just  go through the motions of Christianity. We can still look the part, talk the part, and do the part all the while we are falling apart on the inside. Beloved God has never intended for His people to merely exist or just survive. God has called us to thrive!  I want to share with you in this post on the topic Replacing your survival kit for God’s Revival kit!

(Side Note~ Warning~Get Ready~Brace yourself~ It is coming!  -I have prayed that as you were reading this post  that the  Holy Spirit would deposit something on the inside of every person who reads this post. Maybe it will be something you read in this post  or  something the Holy Spirit speaks to you as you are reading this post. I am believing for many to drop the survivalist mentality for a Revivalists mentality. While the survivalist is barely holding on, the Revivalists is expecting great things, attempting great things and experiencing God doing great things)
In the natural a survivalists  knows what they need in order to stay alive in the woods for an extended period of time. Since God is calling us to be Revivalists not a Survivalist. We are going to compare what a survivalist needs in the natural and what a Revivalist needs in the supernatural in order to thrive in the storms of life, in the spiritual wilderness,  in the difficult seasons of life and in times where many are falling away from the faith.
A survivalist in a natural setting would have water in order to survive.
What is in God’s REVIVAL kit!

But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”
John 4:14 NKJV

On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.  He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”  But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
John 7:37‭-‬39 NKJV
God’s Revival Kit includes Rivers of Living Water to all who believe in Jesus. God is the God of the overflow. God desires to deposit a river of love, joy, peace, power, and provision in you that cant be contained and overflows everywhere you go.
To survive in a natural setting you would also need food.
Let take a look in God’s Revival Kit

I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”
John 6:51 NKJV

For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” Then they said to Him, “Lord, give us this bread always.” And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.
John 6:33‭-‬35
God’s Revival Kit contains the Bread of Heaven, that doesn’t  merely sustain life but brings the dead to life. The Bread of God, Jesus Christ fills us so we will never hunger for the world. The Bread of God gives us eternal life.
Someone trying to survive in a natural setting would build a shelter to protect them from the environment.
What does God provide for us in His Revival Kit.
God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.
Psalms 46:1 NKJV

The eternal God is  your  refuge, And underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, And will say, ‘Destroy!’
Deuteronomy 33:27

God’s Revival Kit contains a  Refuge, a Shelter, a Tent, a strong Tower, a fortress that no wind, rain, fire, flood, hurricane or enemy can infiltrate. ***If I was preaching right now they would be trying to turn me down in the sound booth. Somebody ought to give God praise for being our Refuge in the storm.***
For further study on God being a shelter to not merely survive but thrive. See Psalms 27:5, 31:20, Proverbs 14:26
Someone attempting to survive for an extended period of time in the natural setting would need to rest.
Let’s look in God’s Revival Kit.
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Matthew 11:28‭-‬30 NKJV
God’s Revival Kit contains Rest for the weary. Rest for  those who have been carrying a heavy load. No matter how long the journey has been or how heavy the load you have been carrying. God provides rest to all who come to Him in faith.
For further study on Resting in God see Psalms 4:8, Isaiah 26:3, Psalms 127:2
Someone trying to survive would need a generator/ solar power or some source of power.
What’s in God’s Revival Kit.
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Acts 1:8 NKJV

And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.  Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.  Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”
Luke 10:18‭-‬20 NKJV
God’s Revival Kit contains power from on High. Power to live victorious, power to be a witness, power to  overcome the enemy of our soul.
For further study on the power of God working in us and through us. See Ephesians 3:14-16, 20
Someone surviving in the wilderness would need a fire to stay warm and to cook food.
Let’s look into God’s Revival Kit.
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
Matthew 3:11‭-‬12 NKJV

God’s Revival Kit contains the Holy Spirit and Fire. A fire to burn away sin amd keep us burning with passion for God. A holy and powerful fire to purify and sanctify. A fire that ignites our prayer and times of intimacy with Jesus.

For further study on the fire of God.  See also Luke 3:16, Mark 1:4, John 1:29-33
Lastly anyone attempting to survive in the wilderness would need a weapon for protection and to hunt.
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
II Corinthians 10:4 NKJV
God’s Revival Kit contains mighty weapons. Weapons to destroy ungodly mindsets. Weapons to defeat the lies, alluring temptations and deception   of the enemy.
For further study on the weapons of God. See also Jeremiah 51:20, Ephesians 6:10-18

I want to ask you a simple question will you lay aside the survivalist mentality and begin believing, praying for and walking in the Revival God is pouring out. The Lord wants us to hold on, but most of time before Jesus performed supernatural a miracle He never said hold on. He said Get Up, Rise Up, Stand Up, and Go! I believe the revival God is pouring out will do just that. It will awaken the Revivalist in us that Gets up, Rises up, Stands up, and Goes into all the world to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom, heal the sick, and set the captives free.

Father I thank you for awakening the Revivalist in each of us in the mighty name of Jesus.
